Lachlan CMA

The Lachlan catchment features a broad geographic diversity including temperate forests, woodlands and grasslands in the east, and semi-arid woodlands, mallee and shrublands in the west. Agriculture is the catchments main industry, using more than 80% of the land. These include cereal production, cotton, dairying, piggeries, and irrigated fruit production.
