Hotspot Fire Project

Border Rivers-Gwydir Region CMA

A wide variety of vegetation formations occur in the Border Rivers-Gwydir catchment with woodlands and forests being the most common. Agriculture is the main industry, supporting grazing for wool, lambs and beef cattle, with dry and irrigated cropping. The varied geology of the region also allows for mining and energy production including sapphires, coal and coal seam gas reserves. The Border Rivers-Gwydir CMA has been replaced by the Northern Tablelands and North West Local Land Services. Find us here: northerntablelands.lls.nsw.gov.au/
