Working with Landholders with Property Vegetation Plans
Tuesday, 15th April 2014
The team has been working with the Hunter Local Land Services (formally the Hunter Central-Rivers CMA) to deliver tailored workshops to landholders within the Hunter region who have an existing Property Vegetation Plan (PVP). The Hotspots team are assisting landholders to develop a property fire management plan that builds on their exiting PVP agreements.
Workshops were held in Wyong and Wingham (Manning Valley) with over 40 participants attending in March and early April. The Hotspots team are now busily compiling the vegetation types, threatened species, fire history and local features data specific for each property. This forms the supporting information to the property fire management plans each of the participants completed as part of the workshop program.
